NSW two ahead of WA at Interstate Series

At Monash today Victoria’s Matt Griffin produced one of the shots of the day with an eagle on the 18th (his fourth hole) to go two up after four holes.
But South Australia’s Jordan Sherratt fought back, beating the leading Australian Men’s Amateur champ 1-up. Sherratt’s result halved the match with Victoria.
New South Wales comprehensively beat Tasmania but it was Tasmania’s Ryan McCarthy, who produced one of the performances of the day to beat recent Open Championship entrant Rohan Blizard 3&2.
Western Australia defeated Queensland despite the Queenslanders getting the better of the WA squad in the foursomes matches. Daniel Nisbet won both his foursomes match and defeated national squad member Jason Scrivener 5&3 in the singles.
