On the second day of play at Monash Golf Club, Tasmania started well in their foursomes matches against South Australia with Craig Hancock and John Cassidy defeating Chris Austin and Stephen Spiers 2&1.

Queensland’s Ray Beaufils and Matthew McBain produced a superb foursomes performance to beat NSW’s Scott Arnold and Rohan Blizard 6&5. But was one of few highlights for Queensland as NSW won emphatically with solid wins for Grant Scott and Michael Raseta.

Victoria made a rampaging start to their foursomes matches against Western Australia, winning three of the four matches including an all-National Squad affair between Victoria’s Matt Griffin and Josh Younger and WA’s Jason Scrivener and Matt Jager.

That devastating performance continued into the singles as Victoria won 6 of 7 matches against WA, squaring the other to win by 9.5 games to 1.5 games.
