Two Aussies remain at LPGA Q-School

Round two of the LPGA Tour School’s Sectional qualifying has been completed at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage in California and Korea’s Sun-Ju Ahn continues to lead, following her first round of 66 at the Dinah Shore Course with a similar second round at the Palmer Course.

The big move on day two came from Michelle Wie, who recorded a 7 under par round of 65 at the Palmer Course to move into outright second, three shots behind Ahn.

Australians Leanne Bowditch and Kristie Smith remain in the hunt for one of the top 30 places who will advance at the completion of the event to the Final Stage in Florida in early December.

Both Smith and Bowditch are in a share of 17th after second round scores of 75.

The three other Australians, Priscilla Duffield, Clare Choi and Sunny Park have unfortunately missed the 36 hole cut.
