At the completion of 54 holes at the LPGA Tour School at Mission Hills in California, Korea’s Sun Ju Ahn has been joined in the lead by Swedish amateur Anna Nordqvist and at 12 under, the pair leads by three shots over Japan’s Miki Saiki with Michelle Wie in fourth place at 7 under.

Nordqvist is the reigning Ladies British Open Amateur Champion and has attended the University of Arizona in recent years. She was runner up in the same event over the two previous years and was the leading amateur at this year’s Women’s British Open.

The third and fourth rounds are being played over just the Dinah Shore layout at Mission Hills after the opening two rounds were shared between the Palmer and Dinah Shore courses at the golf complex in Rancho Mirage.

Australians Kristie Smith (20th) and Leanne Bowditch (28th) remain in the hunt for one of the top 30 positions made available from this event into the Final Qualifying in Florida in December following tomorrow’s final round.
