Long leads, debutante Griffin 4th in WA

New Zealander Michael Long holds a two-stroke lead at the halfway mark of the 2008 Oceanique WA PGA Championship, The Cut Golf Club, Port Bouvard, Western Australia.
Rounds of 69 and 68 has the former US Tour Player at seven-under par, two shots ahead of South Australian Jason Norris.
Long and Norris went head to head this afternoon both carding three-under, 69s and will again be paired together in the final group tomorrow.
Mark Purser was another to handle the gusty conditions and matched a three-under, 69 in round one with a 71 to sit in outright third at four-under.
Victorian Matthew Griffin continued his impressive form at his first professional outing to be right in the mix at three-under.
Today’s best score came from another New Zealander Brad Shilton, who fired a five-under, 67 to move into contention six back of his fellow countryman.
Round three of the 2008 Oceanique WA PGA Championship continues from The Cut Golf Club, Port Bouvard, Western Australia from 9.00am local time.
