Ormsby joins Euro Final Stage line-up

South Australian, Wade Ormsby, was the only Australian to advance from Stage Two to the Final Stage of qualifying for the European Tour when he finished 14th at his particular venue and will now advance to the Final this week.

Ormsby, who played the European Tour in recent years prior to losing his status late last year, has played the Nationwide Tour in the US this season but did not do well enough to advance his cause there. He has now created an opportunity to at least return to the European Tour in 2009.

He will join a lengthy list of Australasians in Girona in Spain this week, all seeking one of the 30 European Tour cards for 2009 and the chance to join the Race for Dubai.

Tony Carolan, Michael Curtain, Scott Hend, Steve Jeffress, Matthew Millar, Jarrod Moseley, Gareth Paddison, Antony Summers and Andrew Tampion are all looking for the chance to play the increasingly lucrative European Tour.
