Tight battle developing at Huntingdale

In warm conditions and gentle breezes the final round of the 30th Sportsbet Australian Masters is underway at Huntingdale and even before the final pairing of Michael Sim and Robert Allenby teed off it became clear this would be a dogfight.
As Sim and Allenby walked to their tee shots at the first, the third round leader, Tim Clark, was on his 10th hole after five birdies in his opening nine holes had taken him with two of the lead.
When Clark found the green at the par five 10th and two putted he had remarkably moved back within one after all but eliminating his chances in round three.
Local, Marcus Fraser, and England’s Steve Webster had also made good starts and were in a share of third with Clark while Nathan Green and Rod Pampling picked up early birdies to be just one further back at 8 under along with Ashley Hall.
