Sonartec Golf, one of the fastest rising companies in the industry and the “Best Kept Secret On Tour”, will be introducing their new TRC Utility Wood Series at the PGA Merchandise Show this week. The new Twin Rail Cavity (TRC) combines accuracy with rescue ability to give Sonartec a high performance club that lives up to the company’s standard of excellence. Fresh off the release of the Super CV Pro Driver, Sonartec Golf now boasts a product line that includes fairway woods, drivers, driving irons and utility woods. According to Sonartec Golf President Toru Kamatari, this latest addition helps continue Sonartec’s quest to give golfers the best chance to succeed.

“Just because it ‘s a rescue club doesn’t mean it’s not a high performance club,” said Kamatari. “We utilized the expertise and experience of Nick Price to help us create a club that will retain accuracy and distance even out of the toughest lies. The TRC has been tested by PGA players all year long which resulted in victories at the Sony Open and Advil Western Open.”

A raised sole combined with the Driving Cavity design creates a balanced twin-rail effect, allowing the club to set up perfectly on the ground. The rails add weight, lowering the center of gravity in the club to provide more spin and thus more control. The rails themselves offer a myriad of benefits. They reduce the surface area contacting the ground, maximizing club head speed through impact. They assist the club head alignment like the rudder on a boat, helping ensure a shot on target. In addition, they slice through the grass for better shots out of the rough and dig into the ground to improve ball striking.

The Sonartec engineers took every detail into account when creating the TRC. A smaller head makes it easier to cut through the rough. A shorter shaft makes for a more upright shaft angle and facilitates a more vertical swing path and improved accuracy. An upright lie angle minimizes hosel contact in the rough. And less bulge and roll on the face helps the clubface react like an iron, resulting in straighter shots.

The TRC comes in 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24 lofts and carries a suggested retail price in the US of US$265.

Based in Carlsbad, California, Sonartec Golf has established itself as an industry leader in the development of innovative golf equipment. With the introduction of the game’s only patented Driving Cavity design, Sonartec Golf offers a club line that truly delivers game improvement results. 18 worldwide wins in 2002, including 5 wins on the PGA Tour, 4 wins on the Senior PGA Tour and 3 wins on the Buy.com Tour, have shown that Sonartec has the ability to improve every level of golfer, regardless of age or gender.

Of the 170 PGA, Senior PGA and Buy.com Tour players using Sonartec Golf clubs, Sonartec officially sponsors Nick Price, Bill Glasson and Cliff Kresge.
