BY Bruce Young | Japan Tour | 2008 Japan Tour Q-School - Final Stage | Round Two | 05 Dec 2008

After 36 holes of qualifying at the final stage of the Japan Golf Tour Q-School, Steve Jeffress is the best placed Australasian in a share of 3rd position.

Jeffress, the 2006 Victorian PGA champion, added a round of 70 to his opening round of 67 and trails the leader by four shots at the Central Golf CLub (セントラルゴルフクラブ), north-east of Tokyo.

New Zealander Richard Tate is in a share of 12th, while Aaron Townsend, Nathan Uebergang and Ben Burge are 67th, Ed Stedman 91st, Brad Andrews 111th, Marcus Cain 157th, and Chris Campbell and Paul Donahoo 180th.

While there is no set number of cards available at the Japan Golf Tour the final position where players finish after 108 holes will determine their capacity to earn starts in season 2009.
