At the completion of 72 holes of the marathon that is PGA Tour Final Stage Q-School, only one Australian, James Nitties, is currently inside the all important top 25 but with two rounds still to play there is still time for others to join the Novacastrian.

Not that Nitties position is totally secure. A fourth round of 70 saw him slip from a share of the lead to a share of 4th and while he is still well positioned to secure one of the PGA Tour cards handed out at the completion of 108 holes, he will need to keep the momentum going.

Steve Allan continued to make forward progress with his round of 68 and has moved to 42nd position, Gavin Coles dropped 22 places with his round of 71 and is in 58th position along with Scott Gardiner, Jason Day improved to 80th with his round of 68 and shares that position with Won Joon Lee, Andrew Bonhomme is 116th, Matt Jones 124th Adam Bland 129th, Stuart Deane 136th and Andrew Buckle 149th.

Paul Gow has withdrawn from the contest.

The fourth day was highlighted by the magnificent round of 59 by Harrison Frazar who lost his PGA Tour status this season but is right on track to get it back. Frazar made the turn in 30 at the Jack Nicklaus tournament course and then added seven consecutive birdies from the 11th. Frazar now leads the event through 72 holes.
