After nearly two hours of suspension play has officially been called off for the day during the second round of the Australian Open.
A decision was made at 4.40pm ensuring the 78 players still to finish their rounds could head back to their respective hotels and contemplate an early start on day three in order that they may complete round two.
Play will recommence at 6.45am following which the cut will be made and the third round will commence from two tees at 11.45.
The cut is currently targeted to fall at 1 over although that might swing one shot either way dependant on the conditions the field face early tomorrow morning.
Robert Allenby was the big mover amongst the afternoon group, putting together an impressive outward nine of 32 to move to five under for the tournament and into a share of 6th and six shots behind the current leader Stephen Dartnall.
