King takes two shot lead at Q-School

Asian Tour regular Jason King has shot a 5 under 67 to take a two shot lead after the first round of 2008 Australasian Tour Qualifying School today.
King shot the lowest round of the opening day at the Peninsula Country Golf Club (South Course) in Frankston and carries a handy lead from four players on three under including Richie Caracella, Peter Cooke, Sydney’s Tim Stewart and Korean Tour event winner Victorian Andrew Tschudin.
The Final Stage has 98 contenders and will see a cut after 54 holes, with the leading 70 players plus ties progressing to the final round on Friday.
The top 35 players will be awarded Tour cards for 2009, with 36th – 60th places offered provisional cards and membership of the PGA of Australia.
