MacDonald and Ash lead Junior Masters

Taylor MacDonald and Emma Ash lead at the halfway point of the Greg Norman Junior Masters being played at Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Club. MacDonald continued his good form today with a round of one-under par 71, while Ash fired a second round of one-under par 72 to overtake Ashley Ona.
MacDonald leads the Boys Championship by just one shot at seven-under par 137, with Western Australian Jamie Warman hot on his heals after the day’s best round of 68.
Ash leads Ona, Christina Mew and Annie Choi by just one, with Jasmine Finlay a further two shots back. Annie Choi at just 13 years of age has played amazing golf with rounds of 72 and 73 for a total of one-under par 145.
Leading the age divisions are:
- Girls 17 Years and Under – Emma Ash – 144 (-2)
- Boys 17 Years and Under – Taylor MacDonald 137 (-7)
- Girls 15 Years and Under – Christina Mew – 145 (-1)
- Boys 15 Years and Under – Cameron Smith – 144 (Even)
- Girls 13 Years and Under – Annie Choi – 145 (-1)
- Boys 13 Years and Under – Jordan McCarthy – 147 (+3)
The action continues tomorrow with round three, with those players surviving the cut mark after 54 holes contesting the final round on Thursday morning.
