Kenny Perry will defend the championship he won by two over Fred Couples and Duffy Waldorf last year and following a solid 28th place finish at the US Open and a 6th place at last week's Champions Tour event, Perry is again expected to be the man to beat.
Perhaps surprisingly, this is one of the significant events on the Champions Tour in which that Bernhard Langer has failed to win.
Langer's brilliant 8th place finish at the Masters in April has been followed by several top tens on the Champions Tour and given that there is no reason why this event should hold a lack of result for him he must still be a factor.
Colin Montgomerie has already found his niche on the Champions Tour winning the Senior PGA Championship recently, finishing outside the top ten only once in eight nine starts this season and being in 3rd position on the money list.
Australians in the field include Peter Senior and Peter Fowler.
