A field of 168 will tee it up including most of Australia's leading amateurs and several high class internationals.
Last year's champion Daniel Nisbet, is now playing in the paid ranks but the recently crowned Australian Amateur Champion Cameron Smith is looking to add to his increasing line-up of silverware.
Smith finished runner-up in this event last year following a brilliant final round, the 19 year old now established as Australia's number one ranked amateur.

In addition, the English Team which finished third at the Eisenhower Trophy in October are in the field namely Craig Hinton, Garrick Porteous and Neil Raymond. Several other internationals including Scotland's Graeme Robertson and James White, two from Canada's Garrick Rank and David Rose, one from the USA, Max Buckley from the USA and Teremoana Beaucousin from French Polynesia along with leading New Zealanders Vaughn McCall and Tyler Hodge are in the line-up.
Among other favoured Australian players will be Brady Watt, Jordan Zunic, Kevin Yuaan and NSW Amateur Champion Brett Drewitt.
The event is played over 72 holes with a cut made after the opening 36 holes on Friday.
