Having a three shot margin courtesy of a 2nd round course record 62 was Jonathan Moore’s saving grace at The Players Amateur, as the 21-year-old secured the tournament and with that, a place in the PGA Tour 2007 Verizon Heritage Championship.
Moore won the title with a score of -22, with rounds of 67,62,66,67, a shot over fellow American Robert Riesen, who stormed home with a wet sail with a closing 65 on the final day.
