Thomas Spearman-Burn, 18 (Miramar) made it a Wellington treble, holding
off the challenge from national representative Kevin Smith
(Tauranga) 4 and 2 in the men’s Amateur final. This follows
wins by Paraparaumu Beach players Sean Kells and Shaun Richards
in the foursomes and James Betts in the New Zealand Strokeplay
