It was just a matter of time before Italy’s Edoardo Molinari won his first European Tour event and in winning the Barclays Scottish Open it has been both a timely and lucrative breakthrough.
In windy and wet conditions, the 29 year old Molinari put together final round of 74 but it was still good enough to defeat Darren Clarke by three and Raphael Jacquelin by four.
