Jordan Sherratt finished the best of the Australians at the Southern Amateur with a 9-under-par total and a tie for 7th position, seven strokes behind tournament winner, American Alex Carpenter.
Sherratt fired rounds of 72-69-70-68 to record his first top-10 result in a main US amateur in only two starts since arriving earlier in the month.
