Jake Higginbottom credits his new coach, Gary Barter, from The Australian Golf Club for his 2&1 victory over Tim Hart at the 2011 Queensland Amateur Championship.
In a final which could have fallen into either player’s hands, Higginbottom rained on Hart’s parade denying him of his chance to go one better than last year where Hart narrowly lost in the final to Brett Drewitt.
