Kirk Triplett has won his first tournament in more than five years with a two shot victory over Marco Dawson at the News Sentinel Open at the Fox Den Golf club in Farragut in Tennessee.
The 49 year old Triplett is just seven months away from turning 50 and history has shown that those capable of winning on the Nationwide Tour into their late forties are well placed for a successful Champions Tour career.
