Ted Potter Jr has birdied the third extra hole of a playoff against Troy Kelly to win the Greenbrier Classic at White Sulphur Springs in West Virginia.
While tournament organisers might have rued the fact that marquee guests, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, were not around at the weekend to enhance the final two rounds of the event, for Potter and Kelly the outcome provides a great boost to their careers.
