Lochiel Park at Geoff Heath Par 3 course measures 890m Par 27 with holes ranging from 75-135m. There are only 2 holes greater than 110m in length here. The course has 9 generally small-to-medium sized 15-20m long bent grass/poa grass greens which are a little patchy and slow in places. The course has fairly lush kikuyu grass fairways which are well maintained. In terms of hazards, there are 2 bunkers (at 2 & 9) and the locally named Fourth Creek which runs across the 5th & 7th greens to join the River' Torrens near the south-western boundary of the course. 1st-105m is a flat hole with a synthetic grass tee mat. 2nd-85m with a bunker short left of the green. 3rd-100m is a flat hole with a shared kikuyu grass teebed with the 2nd tee. 4th-95m is across the road with a synthetic grass tee mat and Fourth Creek on the left side bank of the small green. 5th-75m with the green slightly below the grass tee mound with Fourth Creek 20m in front of the green. 6th-135m is the longest hole with a synthetic grass tee to a bunkerless green. 7th-80m is another synthetic grass tee to a bunkerless green which is slightly above the tee with Fourth Creek in front of the tee. 8th-90m with the tee slightly above the green. 9th-125m is gently uphill to a green with a bunker short right. The layout is split by James Street with holes 1-3 on the clubhouse side and holes 4-9 on the south side of James Street with the Fourth Creek meandering across the tree-lined parkland style course. Course access is from James Street, off Lower North East Road (A11) in the north-eastern suburb of Campbelltown, about 6km from the CBD. Played here 14th October 2012 with $11 weekday green fees and $12 weekend green fees. Possibly too many holes less than 110m in length to be used regularly as more accomplished golfers as practice. The greens here are bigger and are in better condition than North Adelaide Par 3, but not as good as the Salisbury Green Par 3 course. At the moment Geoff Heath and Salisbury Green are the best 9-hole Par 27 layouts in Adelaide. More suited to the beginners

This has to be the best "training wheels" course in Adelaide. Great variety of holes considering they're only par threes, and the place is well maintained and is easy on the eye.

This is an excellent course for true beginners, as you will not be alone. It is also handy for a short game practice during the week or for an early morning hit for the mildly addicted of us who choose to avoid Adelaide’s baking sun.

The course has a practice green and driving nets, some fun holes, is close to the city, is well watered and reasonably priced.

It’s still a par 3, but one of the better ones around Adelaide.

I have played many a round on this course and find it one of the best in the suburbs. The holes have great scenery and the level of difficulty suits begginers through to pros looking to sharpen their short game. The course is undergoing improvements such as the replacement of carpet tees with grass teeboxes. The greens vary from flat to compound slopes. Holes range in length from 75m to 135m in length.

i found this course very well laid out for a course that would mainly be for people just starting to get into golf or want to learn. it is also great for people who are the type that would play every weekend to sharp up their short game. greens can be a little soft and sometimes fast. all in all the course does need some work with the tee offs and some greens
